IAD course tandem progressive freefall

IAD Course
You want to do this by yourself or take the first steps to becoming an experienced skydiver; this is the jump for you, an Instructor Assisted Deployment jump (IAD).

You arrive at the drop zone and are given a brief introduction to your schedule for the day and fill out the necessary paperwork. You then start a complete five-hour course given by one of our certified CSPA Instructor. The instructor will be taking you through the parachute equipment, aircraft procedures, climb out and exit, canopy control, landing and emergency procedures. You are then given an exam to confirm that you are ready to make your first parachute jump.

The Jump!!!
You are geared up and on your way to the aircraft with two other people who took the course with you that day and one of our CSPA IAD rated jumpmaster. You climb into the aircraft and are ready for take-off. You will climb to 3,000 feet about the ground enjoying a view of Moncton. The aircraft will be flown over the drop zone at the predetermined spot. The door will open to allow you to begin one of your most exciting journeys and the biggest rush of your life. You climb out on the wing strut and let yourself hang, your instructor is there beside you and gives you the signal. You yell Arch and let go of the aircraft. The jumpmaster will deploy your pilot chute as you leave the airplane, which will deploy your main parachute in approximately 4 to 5 seconds. There is no freefall involved with an IAD jump; however, you have accomplished more than most men and women have ever had the opportunity to dare and the excitement is not over, you are now under a state-of-the-art square canopy that you control.

The parachute is now opened. Surprisingly, you'll find it calm and relaxing while you fly around back to the landing area. The canopy ride can be a very peaceful, scenic experience, or it can be the most incredible "roller coaster" ride of your life, experiencing several "G" forces. The choice is up to you. But for the next 8 minutes, you are under a parachute with gravity bringing you back home. You turn yourself into the wind to prepare for your landing. You will slow the parachute down by pulling both the control toggles and land on your feet.

What a Feeling, What a Day!!!

After the jump, you will be debriefed and given a First Jump Certificate and skydiving logsheet. The thrills are not over yet, Remember this is a sport, not just a ride, there is a lot to learn (front and back flips, tracking, group formations, ect.) and all from higher and higher altitudes. As you pass to the next learning levels, the instructors will outline the next lessons and explain the new objectives and skills to attain your skydiving license.

That SIMPLE that EASY, and MEMORIES for a LIFETIME.
We'll have you smiling and laughing all the way... Bring some friends, you'll all have a great time!!!

Courses are given every Saturday (from May to October) starting at 8:30 am. Arrangements can be made for Sunday or week classes for groups by calling.
